May 2011: Imp-Act launches new Guidance Note series

This series of technical briefs is designed for donors, investors and support organisations.
Recognising that support to MFIs from external organisations is critical to ensuring a balanced approach to performance management, this series aims to help them integrate the missing “social lens” into existing MFI training materials.
The Notes provide targeted guidance on critical issues, as well as details on further resources available. Each note is available in English, French and Spanish. Download and share the entire series, including:
- Project framework: (English) (French) (Spanish)
- Governance: (English) (French) (Spanish)
- Internal control: (English) (French) (Spanish)
- Risk management: (English) (French) (Spanish)
- Staff incentives: (English) (French) (Spanish)
- Strategic planning: (English) (French) (Spanish)
Development process:
The Integrating social performance management into mainstream capacity building initiative, led by Imp-Act, involves a three-part strategy:
- Linking with experts to apply a social lens to key technical areas
- Reviewing existing mainstream training materials to identify and prioritise gaps in training currently provided to MFIs
- Facilitating online knowledge sharing discussions on the SPM Network in order to add to the rich experience base of the Guidance Notes.
