June 2011: AZMJ and SANABEL join the Imp-Act Consortium

These two organisations demonstrate clear leadership in social performance management (SPM) through their ongoing work in the field.
![]() | The mission of the SANABEL Microfinance Network of Arab Countries is to advocate for growth, innovation, best practices and standardization of the microfinance sector in Arab countries. Since 2007, SANABEL has been supporting SPM development in the MENA region through awareness building, training of trainers, social auditing (using the QAT), and documenting lessons learnt. They have also been mentoring member MFIs through the long-term SPM implementation process, and building the SPM capacity of national networks in their region. |

AZMJ has developed its experience in research and knowledge sharing, developing SPM systems, capacity building, and providing guidance on SPM strategies and policies. Their SPM work to date includes authoring the Imp-Act SPM Practice Guide, supporting the SANABEL Network to develop its SPM capacity, managing the Imp-Act “Integrating SPM into mainstream capacity building” project, and documenting the use of PPI to improve SPM at NWTF (Philippines). |
