EDA Rural Systems (EDA) is a consulting company with more than two decades of experience in development, serving South and Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Africa.
EDA builds the capacity of financial service providers in all aspects of SPM, including impact assessment. Through its associate company M-CRIL (Micro-Credit Ratings International Ltd), EDA pioneered social rating in microfinance, as well as MFI poverty audits. EDA/M-CRIL has contributed substantially to the work of the Social Performance Task Force as Chair of the Subcommittee for Social Rating and Social Reporting. It has also helped in the global pilot project on social reporting indicators by MFIs.
