Catholic Relief Services: Project MISION

Set up by CRS in 2006, Project MISION strengthens the capacity of national and regional microfinance networks to integrate SPM into their members’ operations.
Its activities include equipping network staff and local consultants to train and support MFIs, developing or adapting simple tools, and disseminating lessons learned. The project initially focused on Peru and Nicaragua, but later expanded across Latin America. In 2009, MISION started work in Senegal, and has recently expanded its operations to Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya.
